This 8-key Kalimba is adorable. I was surprised by the high quality. The listing photograph shows orange plastic. I think it's colored wood, and it's quite A lovely instrument. It came with a chain, but I prefer it without. I can put it in my pocket and take it anyplace. Hand tuning is simple. I like the 8 keys. It helps me learn songs. I learned to play the Jurassic Park theme music by fiddling with the keys shortly after I got it out of the box. Great travel Kalimba!

This is the cutest, tiniest kalimba I've ever seen. It's small enough that you can wrap your palm around it. If you wanted, you could just put it in your pocket and go around with it. However, I enjoy that it comes with a necklace, allowing you to wear this tiny instrument as jewelry. It's a terrific way to start a conversation!

I'm a beginner kalimba player, and this is a good place to start. But... it's not in tune right out of the box, so get a Kalimba hammer-tuner as well. You can play the exact tones with a free app, then tune the Kalimba to fit. It's going to be a good time!

This is a little, portable kalimba! It's so little it fits in a shirt or jeans pocket. It comes with a short corded neck piece so you can wear it, but it is too short to play the kalimba while wearing it. It's not like a larger kalimba that fits nicely in adult hands, but with experience, I'm confident you'll find a good grip. Definitely intended for tiny hands and excellent for youngsters to grip and play! I enjoy playing simple tunes on the kalimba, and while this one has a restricted range, it is a fun small instrument to have around for when you have some downtime (waiting for a bus, class is 15 minutes away, etc.). Beautifully constructed kalimba!
